To me (you)
« on: February 12, 2017, 05:56:20 PM »
In the beginning there was Darkness.

Then there was light.

Darkness gets a bad rap it is after all the default state of existence.

We fear what's in the dark but if you cannot see something and cannot hear something then what is there to fear ? it is Illuminating the darkness that brings fear.

Fear is the mind-killer.

If there is any hope, it must lie in the proles..but why the proles, How are they most free to act?

"Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves."

Naked means vulnerable. You're not actually vulnerable until you believe that you are.

Fear... in this conext it feels more like excitement.

When the light is shed on the dark it reveals perhaps that which could not be seen.

Could that which could not be seen see us?

We are like ripening fruit then perhaps.

ok so that is out right paranoia but you asked ;P

To fear is to take an appropriate action against danger according to what i got from the history of the word.

someone also once told me,
"Fear is the heart of love that propels one into acts greater than ones self", or something like that anyway.

Is it all in your head?  Is everything you fear actually a real danger?  What if you dont react the way a threat expects you to?

Giving into fear is giving it consciousness, thus your consent to materialize

The darkness comforts.

"Sometimes I wonder if the world's so small,
Then we can never get away from the sprawl,
Living in the sprawl,
Dead shopping malls rise like mountains beyond mountains,
And there's no end in sight,
I need the darkness someone please cut the lights."

Ever hear of the Dark Souls games series? The whole thing is basically one big metaphor for life.

Endless cycles.. Age of Fire, then Age of Dark

Link the Flames, Chosen Undead

You cannot die, for that is our curse

Heres the intro cinematic for the first one.

Occult knowledge makes for the best premises in fiction.

Why is it that negatives are associated with the "dark"?

Its on thing to understand that its the default state of things prior to the "light" being introduced.
But when did it become associated with the negative aspect of things?
