A little help in finding resources
OP: February 24, 2021, 03:49:22 PM
I have recently come to a point where i have soaked up enough knowledge to begin to parse through more dense material like the Kybalion, or other related works. If any of you could provide links or recommendations to point me in the right direction it would be very helpful. Also, this thread can be a general "resource dump", unless i happened to overlook another similar thread on here. I searched kybalion and it returned only one post, but i know ive seen it referenced on the prior forum. Thanks for your time.

If you haven't already - do read The Enlightenment, it's a short read(30 mins max). You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

Other than that Nick has repeatedly recommended Ophiel's works. His Art and Practice books particularly.

For finding stuff I use b-ok.com for e-books, and btdb.eu and solidtorrents for audio-books. There's also some good MEGA libraries, that you can find on the chans, go to 4plebs.org and search for "mega.co.nz"

If you read these properly meaning 2 or 3 times each that should be enough to keep you busy for a while

Sounds like you're at the place on the path where can start designing your own course study. What area of study really excites you?

The only thing worse than reading nothing is reading the wrong thing. Avoid almost anything with massive 1st runs anything that talks about "angel numbers" unisex or dual sex souls, and anything partisan for that matter. Anything that says white magic or black magic is probably trash too

I am very familiar with Talawanda's tale, it is a wonderful starting point for some people. Also thanks for the other recommendations. At times i forget how much the 4plebs archives have to offer.

You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login as in the gospel of Thomas the Saint?

You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login i am particularly interested in the relationships between light and sound, and how they can be used to assist in reaching many different states of consciousness. I know thats kinda vague lol.

You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login I will check it out, thank you!

You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login thank you for the reminder and the recommendations, hope youre staying well. And yes the terms white and black magic are entirely subjective. It is all about intention.

I will share a related song, one of many i have found useful in certain contexts lately.

Once again, thank you all for the recommendations and such.

As Iíve seen so far, the gospel most accurately depicting Jesus as an interpreter of mysteries, akin to Orpheus or Buddha.

For the physics of light and sound, Iíll cite Newton as one example of an alchemist extracting practical application from immersion into ancient myth.

sacred-texts.com is an easy example of a starting index with subpages and documents that will point elsewhere.  jstor.com provides free, metered access to academic journals which tend to give more direct transcriptions or citations than a book like The Kybalion would ever source outside itself.  scribd.com offers many classical texts as well though I believe itís subscription based.

For light and sound research Gustavo Rol, the color green and the book Marcotone You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

Practice visualising the rainbows colors and associate them with corresponding notes. The C note (or rather 528hz) is best applied to green.

Maybe Goethe's theory of colors is applicable as well.  "I discovered a tremendous law that links the color green, the musical fifth, and heat. I have lost my will to live. I am frightened by power. I shall write no more!" -Gustavo Rol
