The year of 5... why is 5 significant?

The sum of the first even and odd numbers (2 + 3) is 5. (To the Pythagoreans 1 was not a number and was not odd.) It therefore symbolizes human life and—in the Platonic and Pythagorean traditions—marriage, as the sum of the female 2 and the male 3.

V is also a crude representation of the cup/chalice the symbol of the generative/feminine.

5 pillars of Islam which will be front and center this year.

But mostly this is about the pentagram.

Today on top of the hundreds of children that get abducted each day, 6 children will be abducted and tortured than murdered.

1 for each point and one for the center.

Might be coming out of left field, but 5 is the central or middle number of the base 10 system of counting. A precipice. A turning point, from less to more. So 5 would be the middle ground. Its why we round up when it is 5 or more in math.
