Every day and most nights.

The winter clouds have been beautiful.

The sky is a light crystal blue once the clouds leave. Without the clouds, it’s been very crisp and cool.  Although strangely during the day, it has felt much hotter than what the thermometer says.

The nights are very, very cold if the clouds are gone.  My house is 59F or less.  I refuse to turn on the heat because they tripled the gas prices in Southern CA.  We already have an our gas stove, gas water heater, and gas dryer that I will not compromise on. I will not give up my hot showers in the morning, so I pile more blankets on at night.  I sit in front of my electric fireplace when I need to warm up.

The night sky has as few stars as it normally does in my neighborhood… 🫤

Were you hinting at this new spiral 🌀?

I wish I was in Hawaii watching it 😆

Didn’t see anything like that here.

GLP thread on this one.  Apparently Obama was in his Hawaii house at the time.  Maybe the spiral goblins will bring him another Nobel Peace prize.

I don't know what I am supposed to be looking for,  but it's mostly visual static and floaters when I look at the sky.

Been cloudy as hell the last 4 nights. Not much of a chance to look at the sky.

The cloud over turkey slightly resembles eye of Ra, in my opinion

Ah! Thanks! I had watched the video that was going around of this “cloud” but the video I watched didn’t have a location named.

Interesting comments.  Someone said their father in that town said it was suddenly very windy and that cloud formed.

We had very, very strong winds blow through here last night.  We probably had 50+ mph winds. Several trees fell down. We often have winds, but these seemed to come out of nowhere from the north.  Santa Ana winds (which we are known for) come from the east.

There are a few things. There's a star that seems oddly close. It's so close that I can visually see it flashing multiple colors in a repetitive cycle. I almost don't even believe it's a star, but it never moves and is always in the same spot.

The other thing I noticed is Orin's Belt seems more prominent in the night sky, along with what looks like Sirius to the left has moved closer in position to the belt and is also more clearly visible in comparison to what it was before.

An exotic green comet that has not passed Earth since the time of the Neanderthals has reappeared in the sky ready for its closest approach to the planet next week.

My moon doesn’t look like this.

After I posted that, I got a notice that the moon and Jupiter are in conjunction tonight.  Peak is at 6pm PST.
