I can vouch that Niacin is a phenomenal supplement. However, you have to buy the old-school Niacin that causes flushing as opposed to the non-flush. They changed something when they made the non-flush, and it doesn't work like the original formula that causes flushing. I've been using Niacin for years and can vouch for its ability to detoxify the body. I use to take 1,000mg of Niacin a day and then take a charcoal tablet 30 minutes after the Niacin to help bind to the toxins that get released from your liver during the flush.
Since I've been taking Niacin for so many years, I'm literally immune to the red flushing. I'll feel a little warm, but I won't turn cherry tomato red like most people would taking 1,000mg. The best Niacin on the market is the old school Rugby brand Niacin You are not allowed to view links.
I haven't tried Niacin with Covid, which is a shame because me and my wife caught Covid 2 weeks ago, and I didn't think to take it. Instead, I took a loading dose of Ivermectin for 300lbs from the horse paste. Then we did 5,000mg of Vitamin C a day split into 2 doses (Vitamin C in high doses like 5,000mg at once can cause diarrhea), 10,000 IU of Vitamin D a day, and 250mg of Rugby Zinc a day.
Without going into too much detail, you guys probably know I'm in the medical field and have been working since the start of Covid, and I didn't catch anything last year during the first round, and neither did many people/staff in our hospital. However, I caught it this time around, and so did the majority of our hospital, both vaccinated and unvaccinated. I can tell you from first-hand experience that this virus is not a natural cold virus that mutated. It is a genetically altered man-made abomination. No doubt in my mind, this was created for biological warfare by some government entity and was either purposefully or accidentally released on us.
I'm under 40 with no comorbidities except asthma; my wife is under 40 with no comorbidities at all. This virus knocked us on our ass, and we are pretty healthy people in comparison to most. We spend good money on healthy organic foods and avoid processed and fast foods, and my wife and I were both out of commission for 10 days.
I've been sick before and picked up some gnarly things considering I work in a hospital, my wife works in a school, and I've never encountered anything like this! My wife and I were running fevers from 101.7 to 102.2 that would just not break no matter what we did. You could put ice bags under your armpits and on your forehead while alternating between Tylenol and Mortin, and the fever would not break. We both lost our sense of smell and our ability to sweat. We couldn't elicit a simple sympathetic nervous system response to sweat. Normally when I'm sick, I actually like to overheat myself and get in the jacuzzi and be under the covers to sweat out the body's toxins. I normally do this when I'm sick, which is against conventional medical advice, but it has always worked for me, and I tend to get over normal sicknesses in 1-2 days. I could not sweat it out with this virus at all, and my body was starting to overheat as I had no natural ability to cool myself through perspiration.
My wife and I also blacked out a couple of times while standing, I wouldn't call it vertigo, but it was definitely intense dizziness to the point where we both fainted while standing. Then the extreme fatigue was so powerful that it felt like your very essence was being drawn out of your body. You literally felt like you couldn't open your eyelids. It was an odd feeling that really was so powerful that you questioned whether or not you were being brought to the very brink of existence. I've had fatigue before with viruses, and nothing made me question whether or not my soul was literally being drawn from my body. All of our joints were on fire and felt like molten lava, but at the same time, we were as stiff as the un-oiled Tinman from the Wizard of Oz.
Luckily we had no respiratory component whatsoever, but as an asthmatic, I take an inhaled oral steroid, and I shared it with my wife to be cautious. Another odd thing is that this caused my wife's period to come 2 weeks early, which is unheard of. Out of the 10 days, the first 2 days weren't bad, we were still functional, but days 3-7 were pretty bad, while days 8-10 slowly loosened its grip and allowed us to see the light at the end of the tunnel and once again be somewhat functional.
There is a lot of talk of Ivermectin, and I have a case of the horse paste at the house because of all the hype surrounding it and positive studies on it. However, I honestly don't know if it worked. We took the drug at the onset of our symptoms like we were supposed to, which is, in theory, is supposed to reduce viral load/replication by half. I would think that we wouldn't have been sick for 10 days with such severe symptoms, but maybe it's just that powerful of a biological weapon that we would have been worse off without the Ivermectin; I just don't know what to make of it. I would be cautious if Ivermectin is your proverbial "ace in the hole," as I'm not sure if it helped us or not in our situation.
