Has anyone here seen the documentary The Forecaster? If not I would highly recommend it to all of you.
He made a model based on pi(3,14...) and 6000 years of economic data that has accurately predicted market moves, wars, and so on to a degree that is uncanny. They wanted his source code, computers and so on, tried to get him into "the club" as he calls it and so on.
They threw him in jail on bogus charges and contempt of court and he spent almost 10 years in the hole in MCC.
