I have been looking into the true history of the US.  So many of our true "North American" stories seem to be hidden in the Mormon books and stories.

I don't have much knowledge of the Mormon religion or history.  I was just taught to avoid the evil cultists.  But it always has seemed they get quite a bit right, too.

I have never watched this channel before, but this is fascinating...

I have heard that the Mormons have been tracking hybrid humans and have detailed logs on them and their bloodlines. They make the Mormons look like a joke not to be taken seriously, yet they just maybe some "Vampire-Esque hunter" religion...

Stephenie Meyer is a Mormon, the author of Twilight and our latest revivalist of the vampire craze. She lives in Phoenix AZ, "The Valley of the Sun."

Meyer’s powerful influence, especially over impressionable teenage girls, might be seen by some to have had good effects, at least in part.  Stephenie’s biographer, George Beahm says, “Stephenie Meyer has gotten teenagers to go unplugged: they willingly turn off the iPods, the ringing cell phones, the plasma television, the computer, and all the other electronic distractions to immerse themselves into Meyer’s world of words” (Beahm p. 233).   Unfortunately, it’s only to bring them into another world, a world of fantasy and warped romantic ideals; and worse, a world that is peopled by monsters – vampires, werewolves, and shape-shifters.  Such creatures are hybrid monstrosities – part human, part demon.  It is a world akin to that described in ancient Greek mythology, a world inhabited by demi-gods, hideous creatures, terrifying monsters, titans, and cruel and capricious gods, all of whom were a threat to normal mortals.  And occasionally one of the gods would espy a mortal whom he or she desired and subsequently have sex with them, using coercion, deception, or force.

However, following this dream which gave rise to the Twilight series, Stephenie tells us of a second dream after she’d written “Twilight”, the first in the series.  “A little-known sequel occurred, as discussed in an interview with Meyer.  It is differentiated from Stephenie’s normal dreams by its amount of truth.  One night, Meyer was sleeping on the couch, and experienced something similar to sleep paralysis.  According to Meyer, Edward stormed in menacingly, confronting his author.  Edward told Stephenie that she’d gotten it all wrong, and he was a normal vampire.  Stephenie described this as very frightening”.  You are not allowed to view links. By Stephenie’s own admission, she didn’t invent the story or its characters; they came to her in a dream.  It all sounds so fascinating, an act of chance or fate, so random; a dream that was so vivid and sustained and intense that she felt compelled to record it.  The story almost wrote itself.

Come Twilight's end, it's the ancient Vatican bloodsuckers versus the various vampire tribes who come together to support a newer breed. Not unlike Rice did with The Queen of the Damned.

Tons of Mormon Fantasy authors.

Stephanie Myers
Orson Scott Card
Tracey Hickman (Dragonlance)
Brandon Muhl
Brandon Sanderson
Joseph Smith (LOL)

Whatever a person thinks about Mormons, they can sure weave one hell of a story.

I know how many genealogy records the LDS church maintains.  I really wonder if they are paid by the Vatican to send their information to Rome.

Along those same lines, one might think Ancestry.com originated by a LDS church member.  The first owner was NOT Mormon, although he lived in Salt Lake City.  The 2nd owners (2 partners) were Mormon.   Now it's mostly owned by Blackstone Group.

The LDS church does own familysearch.org, which is similar but definitely not as extensive.

Um… WHAT?!?!?!!!!

…..

UPDATE - Utah County Attorney David Leavitt just held a press conference announcing he has not engaged in ritualistic sexual abuse or cannibalism.

Leavitt is calling on Utah County Sheriff Mike Smith to resign.

UCSO has not publicly named Leavitt as a suspect in any way.

No one had mentioned cannibalism (from my understanding) before he brought it up.

This is the one book whose title you can read on the shelf:

Who is David Leavitt?

He is a Mormon father of 7 children.  He has lived in Utah, PA, DE, Ukraine and Moldova with his family.  He’s the elected prosecutor in Utah County, Utah’s second largest county.

Quote
David gained prominence for his successful prosecution of Utah's first polygamy case in 50 years. The case garnered international attention, highlighted many of the abuses found in such relationships, and was the precursor to other polygamist related prosecutions in Utah, Texas, and Canada.
Also:

Quote
In 2004, Leavitt accepted an invitation to provide technical assistance to the Supreme Court of Ukraine. In 2005, Leavitt co-founded The Leavitt Institute for International Development—an international legal reform charity which provides legal assistance to Eastern European governments and which teaches American law and advocacy in 38 law schools in Ukraine, Poland, Romania, and Moldova. In addition to advising the Supreme Court of Ukraine, Leavitt has also served as a legal advisor to Former Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko, and the Moldovan Ministry of Justice.

Leavitt served as Executive Director of the Leavitt Institute for International Development (TLI) from December 2005 to July 2017, with a brief hiatus in 2008 to run, unsuccessfully, for Utah's Third Congressional District seat. While David served as Executive Director of TLI, TLI received grants from the U.S. Embassies in Ukraine, Moldova, and Rwanda to advance legal reform in each of those nations. Additionally, over 200 lawyers and judges from the United States and Canada have volunteered more than 25,000 hours of service in advancing TLI objectives in Eastern Europe and Africa.

I am still wondering why the latter happen to make it to Twitter days before Leavitt’s statement.
