Drugs can cause that kind of feeling of people not being real, especially the ones that make you look within from what I've seen.

Hell things often time seem like a simulation without them lol the compounding effects can be disastrous. Especially so with the likes of meth or heroin(from what I have seen)

Add to that, most street drugs especially ‘club’ psychedelics are cut with cheap meth or worse. Many get addicted or spiral out on what they think is a weekend habit. The last ‘occultist’ I met in person claimed habitual meth allowed him to speak with Set. I mean he couldn’t sleep and ranted about an invisible disease but “Set” helped him learn several old languages in very short time which was his carrot into the cell.
