Speak your truth.
OP: April 24, 2020, 01:20:15 AM
Never say, "I think," "in my opinion," "imho," "to me," or the like when making an assertion or even a statement of opinion, and even if it is something of which you are not 100% certain. People think they are being tactful when they use these verbal softeners, but in reality they are undermining their own ability to cultivate certainty. The universe is built on exactitude and certainty, so if your intention is to master your life, you must learn to render your words with authority. Creator said, "Let there be light," not, "Maybe...perhaps I think--I mean, in my opinion we could use a little light, no?" It doesn't mean you have to know everything, and it's perfectly fine to admit a level of uncertainty, but be declarative in your admission. Be declarative in all your statements. You are Creator, so start talking like it.

Thanks, needed to hear this and start applying it..

Yet there are so many fools who have no clue what they're talking about and speak with absolute certainty. Really grinds my gears... Those people are big liars as well and I can't stand lying. It doesn't even help them be lucky or advance in life (H. Simpson style) from what I've seen.

There is a fine line between speaking with certainty or high confidence and being dogmatic but most people will seemingly always interpret it as dogmatic.

I came to this conclusion a while ago, that I am likely consciously incompetent at worst and conciously competent at best, now I rarely speak, and always listen with discernment.

Since discovering the 4 stages of competence, I realized a lot of life if I was in debate or discussion and held a counterpoint I would respectfully wait for my turn to speak but I would be so preoccupied with my own view I wouldn't listen to anyone elses. I see this a lot on interviews and debates. They wait but don't listen. Unconscious incompetence to a tee. Even if you ARE unconsciously competent there's still lessons to be learnt.

The more of your 'world' that is unleashed, the more 'order' comes to your life.

You of all people know how important this is when dealing with nonhuman entities.

And you have the edge over all of them because you have Truth on your side.

No.  We perform nice actions for others because it makes us feel good.  We say we donate to a charity because we feel joy at helping others, but it's more accurate that we get a dopamine rush and get addicted to that feeling.

We see video clips of babies sharing their pacifiers with another baby who is crying.  Are they sharing the paci out of pure empathy, or do they share it to make the crying stop and to make themselves feel more comfortable?  Surely it's the later.

Acts of kindness and dopamine

It makes you wonder what were Jesus' motives for his actions.  You can't say he was selfless and human simultaneously because humans are not selfless. So he was only one or the other, if either.

Well since there is only one of us here, when you are helping another person you are helping yourself.

Because we are all connected, helping someone else you are still helping yourself and by helping yourself, you are helping others. So ostensibly I would say there are selfless acts but zoomed out there aren't, really. That doesn't carry a negative weight to it like most may think though.

I know when I put those qualifying statements in my spiel, it's because I'm afraid of people jumping down my neck and calling me a know-all or arrogant or something.  You're right Grass.  We shouldn't worry about that and just come out with it.

Selfless acts?  In the long run, over all, there are none.  We have to think beyond just the present life, since everything we do affects all the other lives in some way.
