This just further supports that you can be who ever you want and do what ever you want. Do as you really will not what impulses drive you to do for trivial, short term pleasures.
The only thing stopping you is how much you desire it and how willing you are to do what is required to accomplish said goal.

Most people refrain from doing what they truly desire for fear of losing what they have. Fear of death stops men from truly living. This is why the singularity is so diabolical. It exchanges the natural death/rebirth cycle for technological upgrades from tptb.

I'm thinking' that the 'biological body' part of the equation will become less and less, as the soul lets go of the connections (through the cord).  Maybe they're thinking they can do a workaround, every time they run up against a problem.  I think it would tether the soul to the physical world for longer though,  depending on the possibilities of the tech as it goes. 

I suppose the ultimate goal is to capture the conscious awareness by itself. along with its sub-connections to the great mind.  This would mean all the physical body parts could be manufactured and upgraded.  The richer you were - the more expensive and advanced body you could buy.  The poor worker zombie slaves would get the standard one.  Another utopian dream.

However, this would also mean that the physical manifestation plus its augmentations (the derivative), would have captured the soul energy that created/manifested it.  To do that 100%, would mean capturing/controlling all consciousness back to the source of the great mind itself, since everything is one.  Are they smarter than all creation?  Do they think they can manipulate anything much from the bottom up?  Beyond keeping people ignorant and tied to the physical, how can they manipulate anything much beyond the veil?  Rituals?  Well, maybe a little, but everything?

Spot on, except one thing. They don't have to capture all of Creator's essence. In order to rule this planet, they need only to entrap incoming souls who are incarnating.
