So, uh... Whats the end goal of the big ritual sacrifice(war) in Ukraine?
Previously nrg mentioned that the 1/3 of Europe dying during the black plague was only a down payment. Does this have to do with that? As in they need to repay in parts from the "sum" they borrowed up front. Thus causing wars from time to time to keep up with the payment plan.

Switzerland will double its aid to Ukraine to CHF100 million ($104 million) by the end of 2023, Foreign Minister Ignazio Cassis announced at the Ukraine Recovery Conference in the Swiss city of Lugano.

He also freed up CHF15 million to support the country’s digital economy.

Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki announced that the International Donors' Conference to help Ukraine held Thursday in Warsaw has raised $6.5 billion, about 6.17 billion euros.

According to the Polish president, "all countries of the free world must help Ukraine, but countries that have developed energy dependence on Russia and have sold arms to it have a special obligation to do so".

Ukrainian President Volodymir Zelensky addressed the audience by videoconference, calling for a modern version of the Marshall Plan for his country to help its citizens return to a safe life with prospects for the future. "It will be an investment in the stability of the whole of Central and Eastern Europe," he has asserted.

Another participant, Swedish Prime Minister Magdalena Andersson, stressed that after Russia's "unjustified" attack on Ukraine, Europe "will never be the same" and that the testimonies coming out of Ukraine "remind us of the worst moments in Europe's history".

Andersson, one of the organizers of the event, has announced a donation of $23 million in aid to Kiev, in addition to $265 million from Germany, among other donations.

The eventual restoration of Ukraine through a $750bn (£620bn) recovery plan is the common task of the entire democratic world, the Ukrainian president said on Monday at the first detailed event to map out a physical future for the country in the event it survives as a western-facing nation after the Russian invasion.

The first stage would be an immediate implementation plan starting with emergency humanitarian help, such as restoration of water supplies and bridges; a medium-term framework from 2023 to 2025 to bring back life to destroyed communities through reconstruction of schools, hospitals and housing, and finally a long-term modernisation vision from 2026 to 2032 for a Ukrainian green digital economy that finally leaves the Soviet era behind, and prepares the country for eventual EU membership.
The draft framework, the subject of advice from more than 2,000 experts over six weeks, has proposals for regional plans sponsored by overseas states, and a 24-sector recovery plan intended to ensure sectors such as home energy and agriculture can meet EU standards, and secure 7% annual growth. But such is the hit to the Ukrainian economy that Kyiv needs another $30bn to stay afloat between now and December.

It seems this is another win win. On one level I can't tell if this is entirely concocted. It's the destruction of the west. The whole scenario adds up to pain for the west. From on the ground reports Ukraine is done, and we're just burning money and bodies as Russia is extremely adept at waging war. Only question is if Putin is going to make Russia the 3rd rome/holy christian empire or if rebuilding the Russian empire is just another carrot or ploy that won't manifest.

Is anyone else thinking this irrational and financially crippling support of Ukraine is going to be the end of the current elite of the western world? They seem to have put ALL their cards on the table and are actively bankrupting their respective countries in a way that is also hamstringing their industry.

When Russia takes full control of Ukraine it will ALL be for naught.

And then the people will realize how played they have been. And then they are going to get hungry when the grocery store shelves go empty.

Putin doesn't want control of all of Ukraine. He wants to bring Donetsk and Luhansk back into Russia. He said that from the beginning.

I have told a few people this and am always told I am falling for Russian propaganda.  😂

I ask them why they trust Ukraine more than Russia, and have they watched the videos from the last 8 years outlying the attacks on the Ukrainian people by the Ukrainian government.  Ofc they have not, and their only retort is that I am a Russian sympathizer. I tell them I don't trust either government but I do trust the citizens and international journalists who tell these stories.

I think Putin went in for the DPR and LPR, and the Crimean water supply, but now hopes to expand the front to "liberate" 1/3 of Ukraine.  The Eastern section of Ukraine speaks Russian and could become Russian states easily.  I don't think Putin intends to occupy all of Ukraine.

Russia has declared all humanitarian supplies going into the DPR from Russia be "accredited" with Russia. This may actually slow down help.

RIP Abe

Quote
Shinzo Abe is also an outspoken critic of the inept sanctions against Russia.

He had accused Zelenskyy for military operation in Ukraine, had  said that Zelenskyy could have granted autonomy to the DPR + LPR, but instead he chose conflict.
Called Vladimir Putin a realist.

Remember this "exclusive" story in the Daily Star about "general Pavel", who was supposedly "dragged out of retirement" by Putin and sent to Ukraine?

So yeah, turns out that's total bullshit.

Cui bono? Who benefits from destroying the wheat fields in Ukraine? Competing wheat producers? China, India, and Russia are the top 3. The U.S. is number 4. Ukraine is number 8. Who benefits from spreading the story that Russia is putting the world at risk of hunger by burning Ukraine's wheat fields? We all know the answer to that.
