Zombies in american history
OP: April 16, 2020, 07:24:38 PM
There is a remarkably well documented period of American history when there was quite the zombie problem and literally everyone was aware of it and actively handling it. As a matter of fact you often hear contradictory reports as to what day to day life was like during this time. of course I'm going to tell you guys but first I'm curious to see if any of you can figure it out

Was this related to a virus or illness? Also, do you mean zombie-like, or actually the walking dead?

The only period that comes to mind, with inconsistencies, is the great depression.

Closer to "actual zombies" than the virus angle

Heard accounts of it being terrible, and it being "not so bad".

Were the (then) newly imported African's involved with this 'actual' zombie happening? When most people think of 'real zombies', their Haitian/African voodoo shit is usually the first things most 'normal' people think of.

There is a book called zobie survival guide and in the back there is a timeline of "known" zombie outreaks. It reads very seriously but i bet most assume its just a joke.

Final clue before I just tell you guys this was probably the singular. In American history when people were the most prepared to defend themselves against a threat

I dont know but you have me thinking of the wild west days  there was some form of law in the west but a person needed to be prepared to enforce it themself.

Probably lots of stories out on the trails that never got told.
