More on Acturus:
I follow this Indian historian on Twitter. He focuses many of his tweets on the Lesser Keys of Solomon.
The title of the OG article in my previous post was called "Facts about the 'Bear Guard' Star"

Interesting, right?
Many Bible stories connect to astrology.
When we look for "Balam" in the Bible, there is a story in the OT about "Balaam." Same name.
Balaam was greedy and wanted to have all the riches and power. He wanted to destroy God's people. He was riding his donkey when the donkey lay down on the ground. He beat his donkey and told it to get up. This happened 3 times. On the third time, he heard his donkey speak and he saw an angel with a sword standing next to him. The angel punished him for wanting to destroy God's people and going against God's ways.
An angel with a sword reminds me of "a Bear, with flaming eyes and with a Boshawk in his fist"
So is the story in the OT about astrology and Arcturus? Where would the donkey be in the constellation?
This is the Jewish interpretation of the OT story:

The line that the Jewish strength lies in the power of their mouths is one we should take to heart.

I went back to the Puranas to see if I could find a Promenthura connection. There are over 429K verses in the Puranus
(I just love that quote)
I searched through the puranas but could not find mention of any "Promenthura."
But the Bear connection with Balam and Arcturus intrigues me.
Such a far tangent from Chicago, but not that far...

Out of 72 Lesser Keys of Solomon, four Keys:Aim(23rd),Bune(26th), Asmoday(32nd), and Balam(51) are having Three Heads. 32 and 51 Keys are almost same but they differ quietly where Balam is mentioned as riding a Bear, with flaming eyes and with a Boshawk in his fist. Symbol (image)

Balam is a great name identifying the Param or the Parmarth kings of(Champa) ancient world. The name's root is in Prometheus, Promenthura of Indian puranas. A great name, linked with a great history.

This is the Jewish interpretation of the OT story:
Quote
The fascinating story of Balak and Balaam’s failed attempts to curse the Jewish people is found in Numbers 22-24. The Torah records how, after being thoroughly humiliated by his talking donkey, Balaam, the non-Jewish sorcerer and prophet commissioned by Balak King of Moab to curse the Jews, found himself incapable of cursing them. Instead, he bestowed on the Jews four tremendous blessings, some of which we even recite in our prayers today, and the last which foretells the Messianic redemption. You are not allowed to view links. ...
Politics makes strange bedfellows, so although natural enemies, Moab and Midian banded together and appointed a Midianite, Balak son of Zippor, as king over them. Balak recognized that the power of the Jews was supernatural, so he too sought a way of undermining them supernaturally. Together with the elders of Midian, he hatched a plan to hire Balaam—a well known and powerful sorcerer and prophet—to curse the Jews. Since the Jews’ strength lay in their mouths, i.e., in prayer, he planned to defeat them with a stronger "mouth"—Balaam’s curse.
The Midrash tells us that Balaam was so great a prophet, his prophecy equaled that of Moses. Since G‑d created His world with symmetry, everything that exists on the positive side has a negative counterpart. The equivalent of Moses was Balaam.

Quote
Puranas are classified according to qualification of persons who can understand them: “Purāṇas are supplementary explanations of the Vedas intended for different types of men. All men are not equal. There are men who are conducted by the mode of goodness, others who are under the mode of passion and others who are under the mode of ignorance. The Purāṇas are so divided that any class of men can take advantage of them and gradually regain their lost position and get out of the hard struggle for existence.”[26]You are not allowed to view links.
