As the title suggest, I’m looking for those who have seen it and care to comment on the themes within.

For me, classic case of truth in fiction. Even alluding to the battle taking place in the background and all of us on a personal level.

Would be interested in a discussion on this.

[the]story combined a bleak atmosphere with elements of the surreal in portraying struggles between good and evil and between free will and destiny. The show's mythology drew upon themes and motifs from traditional Christianity and gnosticism together with Masonic lore, particularly that of the Knights Templar order.
Sounds promising. I'll check it out and type out my thoughts later.
Thanks for the recommendation.

Agreed.

Sometimes threads do get lost to the wind.

Only real show I’ve come across that tackles this and does it well, whilst still remaining entertaining.

Don’t watch tv these days but I caught the show back in 2007 and recently revisited it since I’ve gone down the path I have.

Low and behold, it echoes everything we talk about on here, mostly.

I’ll be waiting (patiently) and eagerly to any who give it a go and pick up the things I have, and relate it back here.

Just learned of this as well, I’m looking forward to it. Gonna throw it in queue with Lodge 49!

The show’s basic premise of God and Satan being unable to face each other in direct confrontation is very similar to Jacob and his brother in Lost, a show that also tackled the topic of Light vs Dark.

Interesting that the character representing darkness is called Lucius.

Yes.

It’s fascinating.

There is a lot more to the story and bloodlines are especially of importance here as there are particulars are could mirror our own world with careful analysis.

Currently, it is a bit difficult to divulge and explore thematically and conceptually as a few members here are engaged with watching the show.

So in the spirit of no spoilers, I wait with abided breathe till they are ready.

It’s kind of disheartening when the first thing you read online is that the show was cancelled with many of its plot lines left unresolved.

Closest to bullseye was imaginarium of doctor parnassus aka real reason ledger was killed. Direct parallel to e.w.s.

So did Ledger choose self fulfilling enlightenment or gratifying ignorance? I thought the reason he was killed was because he let The Joker energy enter him and it drove him crazy. Maybe he learned the killing joke and his death was just a transition into something more enlightening.

No such thing as a binary and its seldom a choice

Show had great reviews, well received by fans and critics alike, makes one wonder.

Dabble the carrot and pull it away when you get close enough.
