What would one do in the case that they want to go off-grid, but do not have a thyroid due to childhood cancer? How would one go about obtaining thryoid hormone independently? I know this is likely a long shot but i figured i would ask and see if there are any chemists or any such thing around here.

I take Iodoral, which is straight iodine.  I buy it from Amazon but it's not the only place that sells it.  It's just the most affordable for me.

Some use ndt (natural  dessicated thyroid) although I've never heard someone use it if they have no thyroid. Eating animal thyroid might also be an option (basically the same thing but you might need it if in the woods kind of thing). Also I've heard there are ways to order meds from other countries. Some have t3 over the counter. US med laws are pretty insane.

Try to nail you on State and Federal. Since the  early 1900s through and up to Morris Fishbein then they branched out even further. I've done work in medical offices-always lookin for a deal. Stay Antifragile --Sixes

i think i found a good way to cook a good steak on a frying pan.

sear each side with salt for abou 45 seconds. (highest temp)

set temp to 175 F

and through on your pepper and gold dust (seasoning)

let it simmer until the juices are boiling a bit then flip the steak and through on more season if applicable.

let it simmer some more.

its slow cooking but you can still cook long enough to get well done
but I like mine medium rare to medium.

I like to sear mine in a cast iron skillet with salt (no pepper because of the tannin released at high temperature), then cook under a broiler for 2-3 minutes, flip and broil again. Recently I've gotten into sous vide, and that makes for a slightly more tender and even doneness.

Any tips for cold sores(herpes-simplex type 1)?
Got an outbreak now. I heard good things about DMSO so I ordered 99,99% pharma grade that I dilute 50/50 with water and use a cotton-swab to pat the nape of my neck, under the chin and on the cold sore itself on my lip.  Not sure if it's the real deal DMSO tho, its said to cause smell and taste reminiscent of garlic upon skin contact, I have not had that happen - but one would think that Amazon isn't selling fake DMSO.
