Anyone have any specific tools or techniques that work well for them in organizing their daily life and getting things done?

In my personal experience schedule makers are some of the least productive people I know because the minute they fail to adhere to something on their schedule for to reach one of their goals to become discouraged and less productive than I would have been had they not made the schedule and just gone  about accomplishing things

But if one could keep one's schedule fluid, intending to keep an appointed task but willing to reschedule if circumstances necessitate it, wouldn't that be useful? In addition, I've heard more than a few successful writers say they only became productive when they scheduled their writing at a consistent time each day.

Funny you say that because I've found this jet stream forecast site to often be more accurate than any meteorologist. So much for scheduling. I know you use journals.

- write everything down. what you want, what you are grateful for, that you are grateful for what you want as if you already have it. Not necessarily the end product but goals. High performers have naturally figured out how to work towards and create dopamine hits for microgoals not just the big goal. This is why people fail, give up... they never get the dopamine on the way.

- honestly I schedule everything.

- diet wise I took naked pics of myself and put them on the fridge / food cupboards.

- I journal when I feel depressed but I don't journal when I feel elated, I find if I do it stunts the elation. It stunts the depression but that's the goal.

- I like to buy myself nice things but after a predetermined amount of time, before I am bored of them I give them away where I can get away with it. It's quite difficult to give someone an expensive item. They presume you have an ulterior motive; I do, but from "the universe" not from them. I've noticed my mental health improved doing this. I like to do shit for others with no expectation of anything in return which is very easy in this current society.

- drink lots of water it really does help

- I take a variety of substances / supplements I am sure a lot of it is placebo and that's just fine. I would like to introduce microdosing but honestly don't have access to these substances.

- exercise is like water super important I do atleast one long walk a day and I do tabata kettlebell swings throughout the day. I have noticed if you do them and visualise all the blood going to the brain it gives you a cognitive boost vs doing them without the visualisation.

- meditate in the morning and evenings. People like to do it before the "mind wakes up" I do it purposely after the thoughts start.

Sorry for the long post

He never slept for more than 3 hours at a time apparently. He also apparently had a machine that assisted in him doing so, something that energized him and allowed him to skip food and sleep for extended lengths of time.

Apparently Da Vinci slept only 20 minuets for every 4 hours we was awake. Is there any truth to that? The consistency across the board of high achievers seems to be a lack of sleep.
Some may think it's nothing more than 'just not sleeping' but when (and if) one considers that you have intense 'visions' and 'hallucinations' (for the lack of a better term) while sleep deprived, then I think it makes sense.

This is also interesting. I can say that when I've stayed up for long periods, I did feel 'different'. Maybe my 'true self' surfacing?
There's a reason people feel groggy after long sleep hours. Most likely it's not helping at all but as we have discussed before, the quality/state your in while sleeping beats how long you sleep.
It would seem 'Sleep is the cousin of Death' for a reason.

Cheekiness aside, I have been using the Getting Things Done system, and while it hasn't necessarily increased my throughput, it does enable me to keep my cerebral cortex free of distraction and clutter.

  • I'm a particle, I'm a wave.
Frame what you want and you will move forward so knowing where I'm headed is important for me. This can be used to accomplish big things and the really mundane tasks of daily work and life. One thing I do is using my "little" minutes. The minutes that would normally just be gone can be used for accomplishing a lot. Another thing that helps me is to manage my piles of badness often, you know the piles of the work you want to put off, the places you put all the junk which accumulates problems, etc. Someone once told me to put on my shoes first thing so you are ready to move. I love being barefoot and spend plenty of time in that state but during peak work time, shoes on helps me.
