Mastery of the mind and thought. Consistent mindfulness will lead to understanding why you do what you do, feel and think and if they are even your own thoughts, actions, feelings to begin with.
Continue this long enough (not that long for me) and you will see everything clear all around you. Your true will be noticed and what 'comes next' to accomplish it will be clear.
There may be a 'subtle', slow burning anger that you notice when you start do be mindful and eliminate thoughts that aren't yours.

I have yet to look into this but my first thoughts are that I remember how its a reoccurring theme in fiction that people who are electrocuted receive some kind of enlightenment and the more they become electrocuted the more these enlightening effects appear and manifest physically instead of just mental revelations and awareness increase.

Like I said I haven't looked into this yet as of this post but how would you recommend we electrocute ourselves? I'd imagine there is some kind of ideal set up but there is probably a few given what ever you are trying to accomplish. I would be shocked if Tesla didn't come across this electrifying revelation himself.

I do have my own experiences with what I call my 'electrocution box' and if anyone is interested with that I'm more than willing to share.

In other words, what made him special that it's apparently implied others can't replicate at least with any ease?

Bruce used EMS (electrical muscle stimulation) to increase his fast-twitch response. Those have been pretty common with athletes and you've seen them in the Ab stimulator products.
